User Hot Spots of Urban Parks Identified Using Mobile Signaling Data† - A Case Study of Seongdong-Gu, Seoul -

This study investigated the distribution of users in urban parks to overcome limitations existing research, which made it difficult determine where data came was collected. It aimed provide implications for park planning and management based on user using mobile signal data. Five Seongdong-gu, Seoul, with various physical characteristics, were selected. Mobile provided by Seoul Big Data Campus used identify inflow through hot spot analysis per park. The relationship between context influence area derived. Forest (P1) Seongsu Park (P3), have a high proportion commercial spaces around park, showed wider hotspots compared Eungbong (P2), Dokseodang (P4), Daehyunsan (P5), located residential areas. Parks significant presence had broader influence, while larger sizes gentle slopes exhibited proposed novel data-based approach users. Through this valuable insights derived that could be utilized management, aiming enhance effectiveness efficiency utilization.
